Jessica is currently the Designated Public Lobbyist and Assistant Director/Tribal Liaison for the Arizona Department of Gaming, a state regulatory agency overseeing tribal gaming, event wagering, fantasy sports, horse racing, unarmed combat sports, and the Division of Problem Gambling.She has over 15 years of experience across municipal, state, and federal government, including roles as Congressional Staff for AZ-08 and Legislative Liaison for the Arizona Department of Veterans\' Services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security/Emergency Management and Criminal Justice Administration with Certificates in Human Trafficking, Political Social Work, and Certification in Trauma & Resilience. Jessica’s professional journey commenced at 17 when she enlisted in the Army National Guard as a Paralegal Specialist. She was honorably discharged after 8 years in the US Army Reserve. Her perspective as the third generation of her family to serve in the U.S. military & her experience as a former military spouse to an active-duty member have given her a deep understanding of the needs & challenges faced by Service Members, Veterans, & their Families. Jessica is passionate about helping Women Veterans enhance their quality of life, develop their careers, & fully recognize the value they bring to their communities. She founded West Valley Women Veterans, a peer-led community organization for Women Veterans in the Greater Phoenix Area. She volunteers with several local organizations and serves on advisory boards/committees that support crime survivors, service members, veterans, and their families, including the the State of Arizona Veterans Service Advisory Commission, Arizona Attorney General’s Veterans and Military Families Advisory Council, Senator Gallego’s Veteran Advisory Board.
