Catch A Lift Fund (CAL) is a nationwide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010 in memory of Army CPL Chris Coffland (KIA Afghanistan 2009). We are dedicated to honoring and empowering combat-injured Veterans Post 9/11 of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF).Our mission is to help these Veterans regain control of their recovery, rediscover their purpose, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. Through a holistic program rooted in physical training and behavioral change science, CAL provides the tools for sustainable transformation.Focusing on four key pillars—nutrition, fitness, emotional wellness, and community—we guide Veterans on a life-changing journey to physical and mental healing.Catch A Lift is changing bodies, healing minds, and saving lives.Catch A Lift was founded in memory of my uncle Cpl. Christopher Coffland, U.S. ARMY who was killed in Afghanistan in 2009. Chris’ phrase, “I’m gonna catch a lift,” indicated he was heading to the gym, but more importantly, it meant he was going to get centered, refocused, and re-energized.I’m passionate about connecting like-minded people and organizations and integrating Catch A Lift into businesses to strengthen alignment around vision, mission, and values.
