I’ve worked in the mental health services field for 20 years. This includes thirteen years in psychiatric and substance abuse marketing, and five years of clinical experience, with some cross-over. My background includes serving as a business development director, marketing coordinator, community liaison, clinical director and staff development coordinator. In the process I have learned to: • Develop referrals with physicians, emergency rooms and community mental health centers. • Grow revenue through innovative marketing, clear branding and careful relationship management. • Assess patients, conduct psychological evaluations and complete intake. • Develop and present in-service programs for clinicians and staff. • Recruit and train staff. • Identify root cause and resolve conflicts between staff or residents. In my career, I have conducted hundreds of intake evaluations, coordinated care, branded and marketed three start-up facilities and implemented changes in admissions and outreach that dramatically increased the bottom line.
