ABOUT JESSICA YEUNG

I am a supportive collaborator and imaginative innovator who values equality and purpose in the workplace. I have been fortunate enough to be involved with small to medium sized companies who have been at various stages of growth, facilitating physical expansion and resource cultivation with exciting success.I have been in love with food my entire life - as a child, when my mother left the house to run errands, I would sneak into the kitchen to play with food. This translated into a stint in the culinary arts and food blogging. I enrolled in the Food Technology program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) to satisfy the curiosity of knowing how foods were processed, created, and preserved, and continued in the Environmental Health (Public Health Inspection) program to complete my knowledge of food safety and public health.I later returned to BCIT and completed their Business Operations Management (BOM) program with great success and completed projects on asset management of park facilities (City of Vancouver Parks Board) and resource scheduling (Crothall Healthcare).After completion of my BOM studies, I transitioned to a sales role with Univar Solutions, a global distributor of food ingredients, chemistries and processing aids.Specialties: Food safety, program development, product development, formulating, food quality, prototyping, co packer management, processing and packaging equipment, analyzing and evaluating food and packaging, project coordination, process optimization, formula optimization, resource management, process facilitation, recruitment, commercialization and scaleup.
