WORK HISTORY
Associate Director for Program Implementation, Division of Overdose Prevention @Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Atlanta, GA, US
As Associate Director for Program Implementation (ADPI), my office oversees the programmatic branches in the Division of Overdose Prevention that implement initiatives such as Overdose Data to Action (OD2A), the Drug Free Communities (DFC) program, the Overdose Response Strategy (ORS), and the Opioid Rapid Response (ORRP) Program. I aim to support these programs in building the evidence base for effective overdose prevention and response, enhancing internal and external collaboration, and building staff capacity and expertise.Prior to the ADPI role, I served as Team Lead for DOP’s Public Health and Public Safety Team starting in 2019. I also led the Overdose Response Strategy, a national public health and public safety program co-funded by CDC and ONDCP. Prior to my work at CDC, I provided in-country support to PEPFAR programs in South Africa, Barbados and Tanzania, and served as a program evaluator for youth suicide prevention and children’s mental health initiatives.
