I lead Carvana’s IP department and marketing compliance/legal review. I manage and cultivate Carvana\'s growing IP portfolio. I develop and create IP processes and policies. I handle enforcement of Carvana\'s IP rights and all IP litigation/disputes. I work closely with business stakeholders on various IP matters involving patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright. I manage the patent harvesting efforts at Carvana from the invention disclosure stage through coordinating with outside counsel on patent prosecution. I oversee and manage trademark prosecution and brand protection processes, including filing UDRPs, negotiations, and sending demand letters.I draft and advise on IP related agreements and deals, including IP assignments, NDAs, technology license agreements, and IP provisions in commercial agreements.I oversee the marketing legal review and compliance. I advise business stakeholders on best practices to stay compliant with various regulatory regimes and trademark/copyright laws.
