ABOUT JESSICA VAN ETTEN

As a reinsurance broker and Senior Vice President with Guy Carpenter, Jessica produces, markets and services Property & Casualty accounts. She brings expertise in Program, Professional Liability, and Personal & Commercial lines of business, constructing and negotiating customized reinsurance solutions. Jessica has worked with a wide range of clients and prospects, including national & regional, mutual & stock, MGA/MGU & fronting companies. Jessica joined the Guy Carpenter team in January 2021 and brings over 20 years of reinsurance experience to her role. She began her broking career in 2007, following 4 years in Client Services (claims and accounting) where she began her reinsurance career in 2003. She was most recently Senior Vice President at Willis Re and a member of Program, Professional Liability, Large & Regional Property and Workers Compensation business segments. Jessica was also the Education subcommittee head for Willis Re North America’s Diversity and Inclusion initiative. Jessica received her M.B.A. from Elon University in 2006 and her B.S. in Business Administration (Management Information Systems) with minors in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Elon University in 2002. She holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) professional designation from the Insurance Institute of America and is a licensed North Carolina Property and Liability Agent.
