Responsible for estimating project costs by reviewing proposals, drawings, and specifications. This includes quote take-offs, cost estimates, and communication with the engineering team and supporting departments to produce a competitive bid to the market.Additional responsibilities include:Evaluating product options by assessing material costs, labor impacts, and site requirements.Analyzing documentation to understand project requirements and identify competitive advantages.Collaborating with engineering, sales, project management, and production teams to understand direct costs and maximize profit.Selecting, measuring, and tracking key estimating metrics.Mentoring and guiding less experienced team members.Helping to transition to new estimating software so we can increase bid volume and streamline the bidding process.Develop a new estimating process flow to streamline estimating and prepare for a larger bid volume in the future.Working with Production to get time study data from each of our shops so we can put together the most accurate estimates possible
