At HelixCare, we believe that access to quality healthcare should not be determined by your zip code or how far you live from a city. We are building an integrated healthcare ecosystem designed specifically for the African context, starting with Côte d\'Ivoire. The Problem We Solve In many regions, patients travel 50 to 200 kilometers just to reach a specialist, and nearly half the population faces financial barriers to care. The current infrastructure gap means that while Africa bears 24% of the global disease burden, it holds only 3% of the world’s health infrastructure. Our Solution: The \"Phygital\" Approach We address the uneven distribution of specialist access by optimising the existing system, and we reach more patients in underserved areas. We do this by combining the best of both worlds to bridge the \"last mile\" gap: The Body (HelixCare Pods): We deploy smart, solar-powered diagnostic units directly into underserved rural and urban communities. These \"Pods\" act as local clinics equipped with over 100 on-site tests and staffed by nurses, providing a trustable physical environment for patients. The Soul (Telemedicine Platform): Through the Pods, patients connect instantly with remote specialists via our secure digital platform. This allows a patient in a remote village to consult a top-tier doctor in the capital without the long, costly journey. Our Mission We are shifting the healthcare system from emergency response to proactive, early detection. By decentralizing care, we turn a costly, day-long journey into a simple, local visit—reducing travel distance from hundreds of kilometers to just 20 kilometers.
