As a Pathway Programs Coordinator, I develop and manage initiatives that expand access to health and life sciences careers for educationally disadvantaged high school students. I strategically recruit and collaborate with UCSF departments—both clinical and research-based—to create meaningful internship opportunities, overseeing logistics and providing training to ensure a seamless experience for students and hosts. In addition, I recruit and supervise UCSF professional students as near-peer mentors, supporting them in designing and leading engaging workshops, guest speaker sessions, and presentations that expose high school students to careers in health, life sciences, and research. Passionate about equity in education, I leverage my expertise in program management, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement to empower historically underrepresented students and cultivate the next generation of diverse professionals in STEM and healthcare.
