About Jessica Rose

As a psychology student at Auburn University with a double minor in counseling and sociology, I am passionate about understanding people and supporting their growth, development, and well-being. Through both my academic pursuits and my hands-on experiences I have developed a strong interest in using my strengths to better my community and those around me. Alongside my studies, I wort part-time as a nanny for a family in Opelika, Alabama. Through working with children I have gained experience in communication, emotional awareness, and responsibility. I have become patient, adaptable, and attentive to the needs of those around me, which are all skills that support my interest in the counseling field. My various opportunities volunteering with the BigHouse Foundation and Auburn University Dream Makers has further developed my commitment to serving others in my community. These opportunities have awoken a calling in me to help make the lives of others just a little bit brighter. I am eager to continue to pursue this passion in my future academic and professional career and to expand my knowledge base to encompass more skills that will promote the well-being of others.

   As a morale staff member, I am responsible for being at meetings two days a week, meeting my fundraising goal of recruiting participants for our main fundraising event in the spring, and collaborating with my team to get ready for our Main Event. Morale is responsible for boosting spirit and engagement including choreographing and performing a line dance.
