I\'m passionate about solving our industry’s challenges strategically to increase accessibility at all stages from R&D through to commercialization for the resulting trickle-down of high-quality healthcare by prioritizing sustainability on the micro and macro layers.The combination of my education rooted in engineering and research focused on regenerative medicine targets and delivery techniques has given gave me the foundation to approach all problems methodically yet be open minded to out of the box, creative solutions. Early in my career I was lucky to have the opportunity to embrace a steep learning curve and grow alongside some of the earliest cell and gene therapy startups, as well as experience the earliest adopters of single-use and closed process manufacturing. Experiencing the ripple effect across the industry impacted scale-up, the quick adoption of process intensification and the first wave of automation in bioprocessing. These experiences provided me with a broad compilation of industry learnings, further solidifying my foundational knowledge.Experiences:As a solution-driven engineer, I am inquisitive and prioritize making connections to facilitate growth efficiently. From that, I designed a portfolio of cell therapy process consumables by leveraging over a decade of client feedback to define the challenges hindering sustainable growth in the Cell Therapy market. Intentionally filling gaps in the industries\' existing process technology landscape is an example of sustainability at the micro level impacts healthcare at the macro level.Researched biochemical networks of various neuron cell types to identify potential pathway triggers for neuron regeneration after damage. Using Zebrafish, known for their regenerative properties, to investigate protein expression activity and confirm the hypothesis.Designed an implantable alternative to deliver small molecules, with the goal to replace oral delivery with biodegradable materials. Subsequent research has lead to the advancement of this technique with the future goal to replace oral medications and reduce impact on the patients\' GI in addition to supporting or replace surgical sutures with less damaging closure technique which also delivers variety of pharmaceuticals such as anti-inflammatories, directly to the tissue.Biomedical Engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth\'s College of Engineering, and continuing education with a professional certificate in Biomanufacturing from University of Maryland in Baltimore and pursuing a dual MSc/MBA at Harvard University.
