Successfully guided the creation of our innovative API suite product by utilizing tools such as OctoPerf for performance testing and Kibana for traffic analysis to determine resource requirements for an anticipated load of 50 million daily requests- Conduct technical training sessions & develop technical documentation, enabling proactive issue identification and resolution while actively contributing to the team’s sprint goals, leveraging my expertise in C#, Node.js, Svelte, React, and SQL to advise on technical design and mentor and collaborate with team members, to develop high-quality solutions-Reduced data layer response times by 33% for databases supporting our highest-volume APIs, which handle 10 million daily requests (with 6 million at market open over the span of 15 minutes) by leading an initiative to optimize the backend architecture. This involved collaborating with experts across multiple disciplines supported by my in-depth analysis and enhancement of SQL table response times, reduction of inter-table dependencies, and implementation of customized caching mechanisms to optimize performance under heavy load. Additionally, led an effort to expand and reconfigure our server infrastructure and implement traffic routing strategies. These combined efforts improved scalability, laying the foundation for the launch of our new API suite, which is expected to service 50 million hits a day-Spearheaded the implementation of Feature Flags to enable control over product releases.
