ABOUT JESSICA MULLENIX

I am an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Electrophysiology. I have specific intrested in the care of Veterans with heart arrhythmias, particularly atrial fibrillation, and managing cardiac implanted devices like pacemakers and defibrillators.I hold board certifications as an Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) and a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS by IBHRE). Additionally, I am certified by the American College of Cardiology through the Cardiovascular Knowledge Examination (CCKE).In my role as an Advanced Practice Provider Consultant to the VA National Cardiology Office, I am dedicated to advancing cardiac care for veterans. I am also an active member of the VA Office of Nursing Services (ONS) Field Advisory Board, where I work to enhance nursing practices in cardiology.As an engaged member of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), I have developed strong professional relationships and completed the HRS Leadership Academy for Allied Professionals (LEAP) in 2023. It was a significant honor to be recognized as a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) in 2024.I have a keen interest in how changes in social media and healthcare are being used to disseminate medical information and improve patient engagement.Outside of my professional endeavors, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading mystery novels, and pursuing DIY projects. I am passionate about sports like curling and have recently taken up pickleball.
