   I am responsible for the leadership, strategic planning, design, implementation, evaluation, accreditation and continued growth of UWSOM continuing medical education program and its educational activities which include clinical skills, faculty development, patient safety and quality improvement. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Direct the development of new and innovative educational opportunities to advance continuous professional development for healthcare providers (regionally and nationally) and internal UWSOM faculty• Provide consultation and advice to planning committees, activity chairs, department chairs, external partners and administrative staff regarding planning processes, development, implementation and evaluation of CME activities• Explore avenues of growth for the CME program by utilizing advanced information technologies with emphasis on distance learning and online certificate programs• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and protocols that support the ACCME accreditation requirements• Manage and direct the UWSOM CME activities to ensure that each activity and all related documentation, policies and procedures are compliant with the ACCME criteria and UWSOM policies• Apply for medical education grants to support CME activities, reconcile budgets in accordance with commercial support processes and explore non-traditional opportunities for financial support for the CME program and its activities• Develop a yearly operational budget, maintain the CME Program as a self-sustaining unit and oversee financial resources including generating and managing revenue (i.e, contracts, grants, fees)• Lead, manage and write the ACCME self-study for national re-accreditation and the ACCME annual report for the purpose of maintaining accreditation• Direct CME staff in overall daily operations to support the CME program
