ABOUT JESSICA LENOBLE
I joined Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd in 2017. KWL is a mid-sized consulting firm with expertise in water, in all its implications for engineering projects—from water supply and resources, to wastewater treatment and stormwater management, water-based power generation and the many aspects of water that can affect land development. As an environmental engineer, I design stormwater management and wastewater treatment solutions for a variety of clients across Western Canada. In June 2017, I completed an M.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Pollution Control and Waste Management at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Campus. My research was sponsored through a partnership with NSERC, Kerr Wood Leidal, the Stanley Park Ecology Society and Genome British Columbia. My research involved developing a genomics monitoring tool to correlate microbial communities with metal contamination to monitor engineered wetland treatment systems. I also previously worked for the Vancouver Aquarium, where I developed protocols and led a pilot study for the quantification of microplastics in municipal wastewater. This study was published in 2018 - Scroll below to find a link to the journal article or contact me for more information.
