About Jessica Kleiman

I\'ve been a storyteller since childhood, when I wrote and illustrated a book about my imaginary friend Flappy. Years later, I still love to craft great stories that can help transform brands through powerful messaging and strategic marketing communications. A natural born editor (my social posts regularly feature \"Can You Spot the Error?\" photos of misspellings I catch on signs and menus everywhere), I have deep experience across brand positioning, including corporate and internal communications, content development, public relations and social media, particularly in the media, sports, tech, design and lifestyle sectors. I\'ve worked for both small tech startups and large, well-established organizations and operate well in both environments. I love to manage and coach people and have done so with both internal teams and outside agencies throughout my career, starting with a (probably illegal) position as supervisor of my local frozen yogurt shop, TCBY, at the age of 14. In my spare time, I co-authored Be Your Own Best Publicist: How to Use PR Techniques to Get Noticed, Hired & Rewarded at Work, have written about career-related issues for Forbes.com and The Muse and have taught workshops on building a personal brand.
