ABOUT JESSICA HARDING

I am a Transport Planner at Stantec, with 4 years experience in Transport Planning. I have recently finished a 5-month secondment with Falkirk Council working as a Transport Planning Officer. SkillsI produce reports for projects including Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Technical Notes and Environmental Statement Chapters. My experience has provided me with skills in software including AutoCAD, LinSig and Junctions 10. I also work with a range of databases including TRICS and 2021 Census data. As part of my role, I work with a large variety of clients (public and private) across the U.K. and British Islands (Jersey Channel Island). I am working towards chartership as an Incorporated Transport Planning Professional through the Professional Development Scheme. I have completed the 20-week CPD certification course in ‘The Principles of Traffic and Transport’ and the 8-week Highways First Principles Design course. Additional Roles and ResponsibilitiesOutside of project work, I am the Developing Professional Lead for the Leeds office (2024-present). This role includes supporting the development of the Early Career professionals in Leeds, through organising and presenting monthly meetings and CPDs and providing opportunities for development in chartership. I volunteered to be the WaterAid Representative for the Leeds Office between 20••••24, helping organise fundraisers including our annual Dragon Boat Race, Wear Blue to Work days, Bake Sales and the 3 Peaks Hiking Challenge. Additionally, between 20••••24 I became a member of the social committee and focus on organising monthly networking events for our office. EducationI received a 2:1 in BSc (Hons) Geography in 2020 from Oxford Brookes University. I have A-Levels in Spanish, Geography, Business and English Literature I have GCSEs in Maths, English, Triple Science, French, Spanish, Latin, Geography and RE.(A*-C)About MeOutside of work I enjoy reading a good book, staying active (rock climbing, skiing, playing hockey or running), and spending time with friends and family.
