As the Director of Scholar Experience at Palmer Scholars, I provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Legacy program to ensure the academic, personal, and professional success of our students. My role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including: • Program Leadership: Overseeing the design, coordination, and implementation of postsecondary readiness trainings and support initiatives. • Outreach & Recruitment: Leading efforts to recruit new Scholars, as well as engaging and re-engaging current and alumni Scholars. • Mentorship Management: Recruiting, training, and matching mentors with Scholars, while actively monitoring and supporting these relationships. • Scholar Engagement: Facilitating scholarship allocation processes, coordinating staff campus visits, and organizing social and celebratory events to foster community and support. • Individualized Scholar Support: Identifying resources and interventions for Scholars facing academic or personal challenges to promote their continued success. • Community Partnerships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key community partners and stakeholders to enhance opportunities and support systems for our Scholars.
