The Mechanical Housing Team I lead has been currently working towards optimizing the design of the peristaltic pump as the core of our Total Artificial Heart- We are diving into solving multiple design challenges, including revising the housing to accommodate a filler material to increase the cardiac output of our pump. Within housing, we are also implementing port adaptors to allow for different pump testing options, including stroke volume tests and transplantability- OnShape is used to allow multiple members to edit, revise, and collaborate on each design modification.
