ABOUT JESSICA GEDAMU
For the past seven years at Springer Nature, I’ve been dedicated to building and scaling our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programme. From developing our internal DEI strategy to ensuring its successful implementation, I\'ve worked to create meaningful change and bring the programme to its current level of maturity.Before that, I was a Director and consultant at EAF Berlin, where I still serve as a board member, specialising in diversity in leadership and advising organisations across industries. This experience gave me deep insights into the challenges and opportunities of fostering inclusive leadership and workplace culture. Working at the intersection of business and policy, for example, on implementing gender equality legislation, allowed me to see multiple perspectives and understand how structural change can drive lasting impact.Beyond my professional work, I am a dedicated advocate for queer family rights, striving to create a more equitable world both inside and outside the workplace. Creativity is also a big part of my life - whether through DIY projects or interior design. My happy place? Working on a DIY project while listening to hours of podcasts.
