Provide direct assistance to a caseload of student-athletes on various teams including Football, Men’s Basketball, Track and Field, Tennis, Swimming and Diving, and Volleyball, to facilitate positive academic performance by teaching specific organizational and learning strategies - Supervise full time tutor coordinator responsible for hiring and scheduling up to 100 tutors who host over 2,900 sessions per semester - Director of the Rising Professionals Program (RPP) which encompasses 5 part time staff members- 4 Assistant Learning Specialists (ALS) and 1 Scholastic Supervisor Assistant (SSA)- and responsible for creating and developing educational curriculum for RPP to prepare cohort for full time roles - Implement instruction through presentations and continuing education online modules for both student-athletes and staff in areas including reading comprehension, note taking, test taking, time management, study skills, concentration, memory, motivation, faculty interaction, classroom engagement, and other learning strategies- Responsible for training and supervision of academic mentors on all policy and procedures, as well as general study strategies and academic interventions - Lead weekly Football Academic staff and Learning Specialists meetings - Lead monthly Learning Specialists meetings which include a professional development component - Two-year member of the departments Summer Bridge Committee which designed and implemented a virtual summer bridge program Summer of 2020 for incoming student-athletes and transitioned to in person setting starting in 2021- Member of department Directors Committee, a group of assistant directors from different areas, who work together to advise on departmental policies and work to improve office procedures
