Strategic sourcing of chemical raw materials in the Olefin Derivatives category as well as amines, glycols, and solvents in the North American region. • Negotiate, review, and execute competitive long term and spot purchase agreements to ensure cost competitiveness while managing a diverse supplier base and maintaining effective supplier relationships. • Collaborate with global sub-category leads on sourcing strategies for globally managed materials while also executing those strategies within the region. • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for regional specific raw materials. • Monitor market and feedstock information within the category in order to accurately forecast raw material pricing to stakeholders. • Perform risk mitigation activities to ensure security of supply which include driving approvals of new suppliers and raw materials, eliminating single source situations, and tracking hurricane prone suppliers. • Communicate raw material strategies and activities to the heads of internal business units to encourage end to end processes. • Align with Regional Product Management on production plans and schedules to ensure proper raw material flow, delivery, and inventory. • Support initiatives including the Ariba Buying@Covestro platform, supplier diversity, working capital reduction, EcoVadis, and payment term transformation. • Investigate and pursue alternative bio-based materials to align with Circular Economy initiative. • Procurement representative on the global and regional teams for recent company acquisition of the Resins & Functional Materials business.
