ABOUT JESSICA FAST
I’m an educator and student support specialist with over 10 years of experience helping learners grow in confidence, capability, and direction. My background spans post-secondary education, academic advising, student coaching, and English language instruction. I hold a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities, a TESL certification, and a Subject-Restricted BC teaching certificate, and I’m trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to structured literacy. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of learners—from international students to students with learning differences—supporting them in literacy, executive functioning, and career exploration. I’m especially passionate about early intervention and creating individualized strategies that help students reach their full potential—academically and personally. I’m now excited to bring this expertise into the K–12 environment, where I can play a more proactive role in shaping learning journeys and supporting young people in building foundational skills for life, learning, and post-secondary success.
