ABOUT JESSICA CONNOR

I am a hardworking professional that has an extensive background in retail, and now progressed into a HR professional. It was during my time within retail within the global pandemic that I recognised my talents and what I wanted to pursue. I received my first official series of HR Management training during the pandemic. My retail management role was continuously expanding and adapting to the new ways of working after COVID. This drove me to seek what I was passionate about and use my current/learned knowledge to continue my career in HR. My passion is for my people and adapting to changes to benefit all, as well as giving support -my driving force within work. I, as a person, feel joy from helping others and being someone knowledgeable enough to help. My three years of retail promotions from the start of my career straight from university in order are as follows (all of the below is within 3 years)- Applied for Selfridges Food Hall Counter Server (16hrs), during interview I managed instead to secure Wine Shop Sales Associate (30hrs)- Promotion from Wine Shop Sales Associate to Women\'s Denim Sales Associate- Promotion from Women\'s Denim Sales Associate to Women\'s Contemporary Brand Specialist- Promotion/in-store brand move from Selfridges Women\'s Contemporary Brand Specialist to Aspinal of London Assistant Manager- Promotion from Assistant Manager to Concession Manager (the only store outside of London/regional store)- Additional responsibly of Managing Christmas pop-up store as well as my own Oct-Dec. Involving an increase of up to 8 new Christmas temps. I am now continually progressing and after 6 months at Peninsula I progressed from a Call Handler to Documentation Advice. I am excited for my next move and to continue to move forwards within Peninsula HR, and my continuous progression within HR as a whole.
