ABOUT JESS RHODES
I am Public Health Education Program Manager at Durham County Department of Public Health. I previously served as the Adverse Childhood Experiences and Resilience Coordinator at DCoDPH. In my current role I support health education work related to maternal and child health, adverse childhood experiences, trauma-informed care, health literacy, and community resilience. Prior to working at DCoDPH, I served as a trainer and coach for school staff to encourage behavior and attitude change to support more trauma-informed practices in classrooms. I have 15 years of public health experience, including in policy analysis, coalition-building, and health education. I am passionate about creating spaces that support community and family wellbeing.
