ABOUT JESSICA BIRCHALL

I\'m a Senior Product Designer at Just Eat Takeaway.com working with multiple teams focusing on creating management and growth tools for our partners as well as some internal tooling. I am also a STEM ambassador volunteering on a lot of public speaking and workshop events with young students. I previously worked in the restaurant marketing/ growth area focusing on the StampCard scheme, Offers and Promoted placement tool and much more.After completing Just Eat\'s 18-month UX/D graduate program. I had the pleasure of focusing on three rotations in User research, UX design and UI design. Working on a mix of restaurant and customer facing products with a variety of different stakeholders. I graduated with my Master\'s degree in Multidisciplinary Innovation MA from Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne in 2019 with Distinction. After achieving a First class honours on my undergraduate course which was Design for Industry (DFI). I was awarded Firsts in every assessment I submitted throughout the final year of my four-year sandwich degree. Proceeding to exhibit my work at New Designers 2018.I have a passion for self-development, learning and growing within this field. I embrace challenges and love new experiences. Doing so means I can further develop my skills and experience in areas I found enthusiasm for. These main areas are discovery research, service design, user-centred design and strategy development. I also have a keen interest in workshop facilitation. Whilst at University I was involved in multiple live projects with companies such as Unilever, Mind, Lacoste, Black & Decker, National Trust, Durex, Gillette and many more. I got selected to represent my group down at the Gillette Head offices due to my research role on this project and presentation skills.
