Lead the Product Development department in the management of over 25 accounts. Responsible for the development and execution of new product launches and the ongoing management of products such as Craft products, Gift Bags, Gift Wraps, Bows, Ribbons, Gift Boxes, Gift Tags, Planners, Calendars, Notebooks, Handmade Greeting Cards and other various types of Stationery and consumer goods related products for retail customers, for private label branding and company core line branding. • Create line lists and product spec sheets for quotation. • Communicate directly with domestic and international suppliers and negotiate quotations. • Provide and negotiate costing to customers and conduct in person and/or virtual presentations. • Work in collaboration with the head of sales and marketing to fine tune new product ranges. • Ordering, tracking and delivery of samples with follow-up as required. • Review and manage pre-production and production timelines. • Prepare accurate specification and direction on packaging and product, work directly the packaging team to create POP displays. • Proof art and mechanicals, working in concert with the VP of the Creative department to commercialize new products. • Verify pre-production and production samples to ensure quality. • Maintain and organize vendor files and product reference library. • Perform ongoing competitive analysis to assist in the development of future line lists. • Collect and creation of product information for catalog production. • Travel to Asia, India and UK to visit factories to check on production, as well as to attend Trade Shows around the world.• Team management, team building and development. Delegating accounts and projects to team members to ensure all projects and day to day duties are executed accurately and on time.
