About Jesse Clark

I am currently the Associate Director of Data Science at Bully Pulpit International, a strategic messaging and media consulting firm. At BPI, I develop key tools and analyze a variety of data streams to gain strategic insights for major clients.I have a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with expertise in quantitative research methods, machine learning, survey design and analysis, and political psychology. I have twelve years of experience organizing and analyzing data using R for data management and analysis. I have advanced training in survey design and analysis, with seven years of experience working with key stakeholders to field and analyze nationally-representative and state-representative surveys on a variety of topics. I have seven years of experience managing teams of researchers and producing polished reports for stakeholders. My projects include rebuilding the experimental testing program in a media consulting firm, leading the research program in a major lab at Princeton University, and leading the team of expert witnesses for the redistricting of a large state. I have published extensively in academic journals and my work has been featured in the New York Times, The New York Post, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and Fast Company Magazine.

   I drive the development of analysis products for the firm-I lead the training and skill development program for data analysts at BPI-I serve as the lead data scientist for several clients, including some of the largest retailers, hedge funds, and financial institutions in the world.
