As the Director for GED & Pre-College Education, I lead a program comprised of 45+ faculty and staff who are dedicated and passionate experts committed to building a welcoming educational environment focused on student success and retention. Our program serves over 600 students annually across two counties and three campuses. It is built upon a foundation of equity, universal design, and student-centered practices that are woven into the following areas: General Equivalency Diploma (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), Skills Brush-Up, Concurrent Enrollment opportunities, and bridges to RCC Career Pathways which are short-term Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. I engage in data analysis and strategic planning and oversee a budget composed of braided funding streams from the college, federal and state agencies, and foundations. I am focused on building awareness in our community via relationship cultivation, information sharing, and targeted marketing that addresses the needs of our community members and local businesses and aligns with our short- and long-term strategic plans.
