ABOUT JESSE SOUKI

I am a land use attorney dedicated to supporting the responsible growth and development of Hawaii’s communities. With more than 20 years of experience in land use law, policy, and development, my practice focuses on guiding clients through the complexities of Hawaii’s legal and regulatory frameworks. I work with landowners, developers, and public entities to help them navigate challenging issues and achieve their goals while respecting the unique cultural and environmental characteristics of our islands.Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve in roles that allowed me to bring people together to find solutions that balance economic, environmental, and community needs. Whether assisting with residential and commercial developments, public infrastructure projects, or environmental compliance, my approach is collaborative and tailored to meet the specific needs of each client and project.I believe that successful development requires more than just meeting legal requirements; it involves building relationships, understanding diverse perspectives, and working toward outcomes that benefit both individual clients and the broader community. I am committed to helping clients develop projects that align with Hawaii’s values while addressing regulatory challenges with thoughtful, practical solutions.Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy sharing insights on land use and development through my blog at HawaiiLandUseLaw.com and engaging in conversations about policies that shape our state. I welcome the opportunity to connect with others who share a commitment to sustainable and community-focused development.
