I am passionate about empowering young people. As a first generation college graduate I know the power of gaining a college education can have not only one\'s life but in the lives of our family members and on the larger community. I know I would not be where I am today had it not been for the countless sacrifices of many family members and mentors who often times saw my potential before I saw it for myself. I have made my life\'s calling to make sure the young people in our community recognize their own beauty, intelligence and power just as people did for me.
