About Jesse Jantzen
Jesse Jantzen is the founder of Skylar James Capital, a multi-strategy family office investing across health tech, public markets, technology, blockchain, and film.He entered the digital asset economy in 2015 and is a founding investor in Galaxy Digital. Before Skylar James, he was a long/short global equities Portfolio Manager at Clearview Capital Management and worked at Perella Weinberg Partners as an M&A analyst, alongside roles as a professional athlete and coach.As a wrestler, he was New York’s first four-time state champion and a six-time state place winner. In he was named ASICS High School Wrestler of the Year and the Junior Hodge Trophy winner. He was also the first number one high school recruit in the country to choose Harvard.At Harvard, Jantzen became a three-time NCAA All-American, won the 2004 NCAA title at 149 pounds, and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler. He remains a Harvard career record-holder for wins and pins and received the Bingham Award, recognizing Harvard’s top male athlete. In 2005, he won gold at the University World Games in freestyle wrestling at 66 kilograms, and later competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials. He endowed the Harvard Wrestling Hardest Worker Award in his late father’s name to support athletes who demonstrate exceptional work ethic and a commitment to giving back.He is a member of the Harvard Varsity Club Hall of Fame, the EIWA Hall of Fame, and the Suffolk County Hall of Fame. Beyond competition, he serves in philanthropic leadership, including the Fetal Center board at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Beat the Streets.Through TC Entertainment, he has worked across film and television as an actor, stunt coordinator, producer, and financier, with credits including Foxcatcher, The Knick, Dixieland, Power, and Unstoppable. He also writes long-form essays spanning markets, sport, health, culture, and civic life.
