About Jesse Park
Mechanical Engineering student in the Randall Research Scholars Program, Engineering Entrepreneurship Program and MBA Student.I am currently an undergraduate researcher in The Davami Research Group. My projects involve the mechanical characterization of additively manufactured tensegrity structures and disordered lattices, as well as various nanomechanical surface characterizations of surface-treated steels and ceramics. I am also the president of UA\'s Global Award Winning Tikkun Olam Makers as a TOM Fellow and a 2025 Ernest F. Hollings Scholar.

TOM 20••••26 Fellow- Restarted a club focusing on designing low-cost, open-source solutions for people with disabilities- Within first year, won 2 Global Innovation Challenge prizes, including a grand prize. The only US university to win a grand prize and one of two US universities to win multiple prizes (the competition spanned 470 participants from 33 campuses across 13 countries)- Personally designed a lightweight 3D printed prosthetic leg cover that functions better and is 10-30x cheaper than commercially available options- Organized first ever Pitch-a-thon in collaboration with The Cube, Innovate Alabama, UA\'s Engineering Entrepreneurship Program, and The Kennemer Center for Social Impact- Initiated projects in collaboration with other student organizations at UA: EcoCAR, Adapted Athletics, and Capstone Village- Projects include hand control integration in electric vehicles, improved wheelchair basketball straps, and recreational offroading wheelchair modifications.
