I am currently a Project Engineer II at New York Power Authority, specializing in capital and major maintenance projects across NYPA’s power generating and transmission facilities supplying over a fifth of the entire state\'s needs through hydroelectric and renewable sources. I am eager to utilize my expertise, leveraging the skills I\'ve honed at Brookfield and Clarkson University to make a difference at the assets I’ve looked up to my entire life and powering the future of New York.As both a graduate and full-time professional, I have successfully managed a demanding course load, work commitments, and extracurricular activities. This experience has enhanced my technical proficiency and interpersonal skills, which I am eager to apply in new challenges. My background in Mechanical Engineering has equipped me with strengths in the design process while my MSEM enhanced my project management, strategic planning, risk and cost management, quality assurance, process improvement, and negotiation.    Responsible for all stages of the project lifecycle from initiation through close out for highly complex projects and/or programs ensuring deliverables are received in compliance with the governance program, on schedule, and within budget-Direct, monitor, and control the engineering, design and procurement phases of new generation and transmission projects and conventional facility modifications-Responsible for and coordinate all in-house as well as external resources for all activities related to the project-Ensure applicable licensing, environmental, permitting, safety, code compliance, construction, and requirements/input of all project stakeholders is incorporated into the project and contribute to all project documentation including drawings, technical specifications, assessment reports, asset and risk registry, budgets, forecasts, invoices, schedules, variances, etc. for the project-Develop bid documents, evaluate bid proposals, and make award recommendations-Prepare trustee items, capital funding requests, and project annual budgets-Manage all levels of the construction process to ensure cost and project scope are under control and adherence to specification-Manage contract change orders, preparing invoices and coordinating construction sequencing and site outages, coordinate all field and design changes-Demonstrate understanding of core business operations, applicable tariffs, regulatory compliance requirements and their impact to/from projects-Support and provide mentorship and guidance to lower-level project engineers-Comply with and master understanding of, with the ability to teach downward/outward, NYPA’s Project Management, Governance, and Expenditure Authorization Procedure\'s.
