I began at Mawson Lumber as an inventory assistant and quickly stepped in to support the Accounting department after a coworker\'s departure, specifically assisting with Accounts Payable tasks. My reliability and attention to detail led to a full-time transition into the role, where I have since become a key contributor to the company’s operationsBroad Duties-Receive material into inventory based on invoices received from vendors-Transcribe invoice information, including discounts and due dates, into Spruce software system-Process payments to vendors via check, ACH bank transactions, and online vendor payment portals-Ensure payments are made within discount terms to ensure savings where available-Maintain inventory balance for special order items-Communicate with vendors to track down credit memos when due and ensure we are receiving the proper costs on items purchased.
