   Currently managing a multi-discipline staff of approximately eighty (80) mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers/designers who produce build-to-print engineering design packages and who procure equipment for various process units/gloveboxes/equipment (including laboratory process units) to be installed in a nuclear fuel fabrication facility being constructed at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. Responsible for managing technical scope/project schedules/budgets; reporting performance utilizing earned value management system (EVMS) techniques; and interfacing with the client, potential/selected vendors, and various project disciplines/groups. Also responsible for implementing a visual management system to provide focus on group priorities/performance. Staff activities include developing detailed design drawings/packages, calculations, component classification documents, system design description documents, specifications, quality assurance grading evaluations, procurement plans, and other technical documents; performing technical evaluations of potential vendors; providing design oversight of vendors during the design process; and serving as the project “responsible engineer” for assigned process units/gloveboxes.
