ABOUT JESSE BUNCH

VISIT SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Jesse Bunch has more than thirty-five years of international leadership and development experience, including post-conflict and political transitions, democratic reform, economic development, infrastructure, and civil society development. In eighteen years of overseas experience, including ten years in Central and Eastern Europe, he has managed large multi-component projects in post-conflict, multi-ethnic states. These have included implementation of the Dayton peace agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina; a $40 million USAID civil society and economic development program in Serbia; foreign affairs, anti-corruption, and governance assistance in Afghanistan; governance in reconstruction and Iraq; development program services to the US Government in South Sudan. and. He recently returned from 15 months as chief of party of a large USAID stabilization program in Afghanistan. According to his USAID references, he has excellent leadership, project and financial management skills, and quickly builds trust, confidence, and cooperation among key stakeholders; as well as excellent political instincts and strong communications and negotiation skills. He is creative, strategic, and has deep technical knowledge of political and economic reform, coalition building, nurturing and building civil society leaders and institutions, as well as innovative project and grant development and management skills. He excels at building international and community public/private sector partnerships. He works creatively with US and international donors to forge integrated post-conflict and democratic reform strategies, programs, and funding.
