Worked as lead full-stack developer on the company\'s customer-facing, self-service, portal. The aim of the portal is to reduce customer friction when they have an issue, and to enable the company\'s customer service agents to handle those issues smoothly.• Worked, as part of a team, to migrate external projects in-house. This included managing the handover with the external agency, getting up to speed on the project\'s architecture, and working with the rest of the software development team to migrate hosting and deployment onto our own systems.• Built custom features for the company\'s ServiceNow platform to handle their unique requirements.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I enjoy architecting complex web projects that solve problems for a business. My tech stack is mostly React and Next.js, but I\'ll happily use whichever tech stack is most appropriate for that project. I also enjoy leading and mentoring other developers, and contributing to research and development initiatives. My favourite research topic right now is how to bring whimsy back to the web! If you\'d like to learn more about that then you should watch Josh Comeau\'s talk \'The Case for Whimsy\': have a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Bath, and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Derby. I have also completed multiple online courses and certifications on topics such as digital sustainability, user experience, accessibility, and generative AI.
