Provide post-test telemedicine services, averaging 15-30+ minutes, to patients seeking consultation on their Myriad hereditary cancer, carrier screening, non-invasive prenatal screening, and psychologic pharmacogenomics test results. Write summary letters to referring providers after consultation with patients. Provide pre-test telemedicine services, averaging 10-30+ minutes, to patients seeking education regarding Myriad testing portfolio, including hereditary cancer and prenatal test offerings. Utilize phone-based services (CRM platform: Salesforce) to accurately log all patient calls. Critically evaluate family history and NCCN, ASBS, and USPSTF guidelines for patients considering cancer genetic testing. Collaborated cross-departamentally with colleagues to apply guidelines and research relevant literature to ensure up-to-date information regarding HOXB13 gene content and recommendations. Participate in Spanish “club” meetings to improve medical fluency when counsel patients in Spanish. Draft Spanish script for pretest patient calls. Create at least two presentations a year on genetic counseling relevant primary literature and relevant cases. Present at case conference and journal club each at least once a year. Supervise genetic counseling students from various programs, including University of Utah Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling. Offer shadowing experiences to applicants to the genetic counseling field.
