About Jess Nichols
Worked in Schlumberger as a Rotating Control Device Operator, rebuilding both offshore and land bearings. I deal with all variants of the bearing assembly, to include the 1500 and 2500 psi versions in the shop and wellsite operation. As an operator, I am responsible for the maintenance and operation of all associated equipment, to include lubricating units, control consoles and all other required peripherals. As of late, I have been operating as a Control System Technician, responsible for the maintenance, operation and monitoring of all pressure control equipment which includes all manifolds, valves and pump units. With Managed Pressure Operations (MPO), working as a Riser Drilling Device (RDD) Product Champion, overseeing all aspects of development and testing. Assisted in the development and implementation of the testing program that led to the qualification of the RDD\'s API16A and API16 RCD Monogram.
