ABOUT JERRY LIANG
Computer Engineering student at UBC specializing in Robotics, Control Systems, and Embodied AI.Currently, I am a Robotics Software Intern at Sarcomere Dynamics, where I develop low-latency teleoperation schemas and imitation learning pipelines for high-DOF robotic systems. My work involves mapping human motion using Manus VR gloves and Apple Vision Pro to train neural network policies for dexterous manipulation.I am deeply interested in the \"sim-to-real\" gap and the scaling of humanoid intelligence. My background includes research in Reinforcement Learning (RL) resilience at the UBC Dependable Systems Lab, hydrogen fuel cell powertrain development with UBC Supermileage, and building OS kernels from scratch.Technical Focus: ROS2, PID Control, Imitation Learning, PyTorch, C++, and Real-Time Systems.
