About Jerry Baklycki

Delivering technology to help empower a business growth has been a passion of mine throughout my career. This spans from multiple eCommerce efforts including custom development to large scale commercial system implementations. Along this journey I have built out customer data management systems, campaign management systems to empower digital marketing leaders, ERP and supply chain system integrations and business analytics systems. The scale has been from start up with shoestring budgets to leading major retailers. My background started in software engineering which allowed me to grow into system and enterprise architecture. This also allowed me to be hands on from the infrastructure side to support both private data center management and cloud computing with AWS, Axure and Rackspace. I have had responsibility for all aspects of the SDLC from requirements to design and development, project management and the entire DevOps process. I have floated from hands on in various roles to setting strategic direction and leading teams. I believe in leveraging strong process that is flexible enough to adapt to the skills of the team ranging from classic waterfall methods to more modern agile development. I also believe in quick measurable deliverables that allow the teams to gain confidence in themselves and our business partners to see progress quickly.While the major of my career has been within retail to some extent, at the high level the challenges of rolling out technology within any company is the same. We all have timelines to work against, costs to manage, people to manage and most of expectations to keep in check. Finding a way to not speak technology all the time has been key to my growth and success. Being able to put things into business terms that my partners understand not only help ensure success for my efforts, but ensures that we deliver the right thing for the business.

   In my role at Dorman Products, I spearhead the AI practice, focusing on the adoption of AI technologies across the organization. I drive change management efforts and identify solutions that enhance our operational capabilities. Additionally, I implement training programs to ensure teams are well-equipped to navigate AI governance, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
