Responsible/accountable for all aspects of the delivery of the 6 Prisons and 3 Immigration Removal Centres currently operated by G4S in England and Wales. The prisons include 3 PFI establishments, and 3 that are subject to a management contract. They include HMP Birmingham which was the first operating prison in England and Wales to transfer from the public to the private sector. I was responsible for the mobilisation of that contract and have ongoing responsibility for it.
