About Jerry McDevitt
As a recognized expert in Institutional, hospitality, residential/mixed-use, and senior living/affordable Housing, Jerry brings over 25 years of design and management experience to project teams, working closely with clients to create innovative hospitality-inspired, sustainable developments for our rapidly expanding populations throughout WA, OR, CA, UT, TX, MD, and British Columbia.Working on health care, institutional, educational, and transportation projects earlier in his career has provided large team experience. While at MITHUN, GGLO, and CRTKL, Jerry\'s project focus was urban residential/ mixed-use, senior living, and hospitality projects intended for people working and living-in-community. Jerry believes that our relationship with clients never ends at project completion. He enjoys working with talented design staff and consultants, who together create innovative and environmentally sound solutions guided by a strong concept. His successful record of coordinating talented teams of architects and consultants has resulted in numerous award-winning projects. He currently maintains his LEED and NCARB certifications and is licensed as an architect in WA, CA, UT, and British Columbia, CanadaAs an active member of the American Institute of Architects, Jerry served on the Seattle AIA chapter\'s Board of Directors, and is a current member of AIA Design for Aging, is an Urban Land Institute member, and is active in ULI\'s Senior Housing Council, as well as Leading Age, Argentum, and NAHB 55+. Jerry frequently speaks at conferences promoting research and education with the goal of \"raising the bar\" for design excellence in Hospitality, Senior Living, and Urban Residential communities.He enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest and is an active cyclist, mostly for fitness and team fundraising efforts, and especially alpine skiing, where he is a certified Ski Instructor at Crystal Mountain Resort, WA.
