ABOUT JERRY LAURIENTI

Dr. Jerry Laurienti is a Director and the NGA Account Manager at Leidos and a former Senior Intelligence Service Officer. He has nearly three decades of national security expertise, having held senior positions at the CIA, State Department, and Department of Defense. As a CIA Deputy Associate Director and member of CIA’s Leadership Board, he helped shape the Agency\'s future in intelligence, strategic operations, and countering global adversaries. With a proven track record of leading thousands of officers and managing billions of dollars, Jerry excels at solving complex challenges and navigating ambiguous situations. His expertise spans international security, foreign policy, and geopolitical analysis, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, Global Energy, Latin America, and the Middle East. As a current adjunct faculty member at The Texas A&M Bush School of Government and Public Service, Jerry imparts his experience to the next generation of leaders. Beyond government service, Jerry’s ability to translate his national security experience into industry sets him apart. He has built a reputation for solving the most difficult problems under pressure, often in secret, where failure is not an option. Whether leading the CIA’s Global Mission Center Energy Program or advising on geopolitcal issues, Jerry’s skill in evaluating opportunity, mitigating risk, and making quick, smart decisions has direct application in the private sector. He has the unique ability to identify key opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to success.Jerry earned his Ph.D. from the University of Denver Korbel School and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, where he was also a walk-on member of the USC Trojan Football Team.
