   Principal SME at a mining and lithium conversion company for the instrumentation, controls, automation, and functional safety disciplines. Role required technical input to and creation of foundational corporate level and project related engineering standards and specifications. Responsible for management of key control system OEM and discipline specific management of EPC design deliverables for several capital projects in the $750M to $1B TIC range with focus to provide expertise to assure quality control on designs and to ensure that all instrument, control system, and automation designs adhered to design and quality requirements and applicable company and industry recognized standards and specifications. Provided expertise as a functional safety engineer in execution of several HAZOP studies and the closing of action items that resulted from these studies. Contribution also included development of the corporate Functional Safety Management Philosophy and subsequent planning across the functional safety life cycle for future projects. Other key contributions included the relationship management of the primary control system OEM and progressing the foundational elements of the control system including development of the control components strategy and library and the controls integration execution strategy.
