About Jerrod Johnson
Having received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Cumberlands in 2007 and later graduating from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011, I presently serve as a partner and managing DVM at NVA Gateway Veterinary Management Group, as well as a member of NVA\'s Medical Advisory Board.I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practice in canine and feline practice, a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP), and also certified in companion animal pain management. Currently I am an active consultant in rehab, sports medicine, and chronic pain for VIN and I am an Elite Fear-Free certified professional. Additionally, I am a proud member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and the International Association for the Study of Pain.Professional interests encompass soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive surgery, with a focus on pain management. Specifically, I advocate for the use of regional and local anesthesia to alleviate pain. Passionate about shaping the profession\'s future through mentorship, teaching, and national public speaking engagements, I find joy in sharing knowledge.
