My current assignment is Lieutenant on night shift patrol. My responsibilities include supervising up to ten Officers and two Sergeants. I am also responsible for incident and scene management, logistics, and personnel management which often requires quick decision making and leadership. I am also in charge of the department\'s traffic homicide unit, the protective detail unit, and the mobile field force unit, a use of force instructor, attached to our bicycle unit, and both a designated CPTED practitioner (CPD) and a designated International Crime Prevention Specialist (ICPS). I was formerly a field training officer and the Sergeant over the Special Projects Team, which was a street crimes and community relations unit.
