Expert in discovery biology and preclinical pharmacology for multiple indications, including metabolic diseases (fatty liver disease - MASH), obesity and virus infections. Multi-disciplinary focus on discovery and preclinical pharmacology of small molecule inhibitors and oligonucleotides (siRNA gene silencing). Strong commitment to innovation and IP creation, resulting in ~75 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, and in ~25 patent applications.As a project leader and a team member, I have actively contributed to the discovery of multiple small molecule candidates developed in the clinic for the treatment of MASH and viral infections (Hep-B, Hep-C, influenza, SARS-CoV2/COVID, and RSV).
